Kayla Mccarthy lives near Prospect Park and is a senior at Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science For Young Women. She joined GWN to create a network of women also interested in the same field as she is. She's passionate about the idea that media can change the way people are viewed. Her favorite genres are comedy, realistic-fiction, and sci-fi. Her work was featured in the 2015 Bronx Loaf Anthology and the 2017 Girls Write Now Digital Anthology. Outside of writing she likes listening to music, watching television, and movies.

Kady Ruth Ashcraft is a filmmaker and comedian living in Brooklyn, NY. She's worked with IFC, Disney Channel, and the UCB theater. She enjoys comedy, bike riding, and is an aspirational plant mother. This is her second year at Girls Write Now and absolutely loves the program!
