Monica Burton is an editor at food news site Eater.com, where she covers restaurants. Prior to that, she helped launch Time Inc’s editorial breakfast site Extra Crispy. In her free time she likes to write about things that aren’t food, and is especially interested in exploring ideas around identity and female friendship through personal essays and narrative nonfiction. This is her first year with Girls Write Now. She studied journalism and French at NYU.
