Lily is a junior at Stuyvesant High School and a first-year mentee at GWN. She loves reading fantasy fiction because of the feeling of uncertainty, and yet the possibility that anything can happen. She also loves reading YA fiction because of the visceral and immediate connection she gets from immersing herself into an adolescent’s world very much like her own. She enjoys singing and playing the guitar and sometimes finds herself penning a story through the profusion of notes.

Olivia is a writer and editor who seeks to see her subjects deeply and share their unique stories. She currently works in communications at an academic medical center, where she writes about the amazing and inspiring things that doctors, nurses, scientists, and others who work in the service of human health, do all day. Someday she would like to write a book. She feels immensely lucky to be part of the community that is GWN.
