Maliyah Mohamed joined Girls Write Now to expand her horizons. She's always thinking about what her future will be like, and how writing will be incorporated in that inevitable future. She lives in Queens (born and raised) and is currently in her sophomore year at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School. When Maliyah writes, she feels she can be who she truly is, especially through poetry. As for digital work, she loves to write scripts, and she also adores editing. This is her first year at GWN.

Kelly Davis is a Harlem-based writer and gender equity warrior. A graduate of Princeton University and NYU, she manages sexual and reproductive justice programming and public awareness campaigns for the nation's largest health department. Her writing has appeared on Essence, For Harriet, HuffPo, and Ebony, among others.
