N'Kaylah Simmons was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx.She currently attends Hyde Leadership Charter School in her 10th grade year. She recently joined the Girls Write Now Community, this being her first year. N'kaylah considers herself a writer because of the emotion she puts behind her words. She enjoys writing poetry as an outlet for communication. Her favorite books are The Twilight Saga. She likes running long distance and has an 8-year-old sister.
